Description

CASE OF 6 BOTTLES | THARSYS CITY MACABEO 2023

The Vineyard

Macabeo vineyards are grown on clay-limestone soils located south of Requena, at around 760 metres above sea level and surrounded by Mediterranean woodland. The combination of these soils and the significant temperature difference between day and night favours highly aromatic grapes with good acidity, giving the wine freshness and ageing potential.

Winemaking

Produced following the traditional method, with full control of the process from harvest to bottling. Aged for 3 months in French and American oak barrels from different coopers.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Pale straw yellow colour, clean and bright, with fine, slow tears.

Nose: Aromas of yellow stone fruit such as apricot and plum, with notes of grapefruit and a light toasted hint of custard and biscuit.

Palate: Fresh, fruity entry with a good balance between ripeness and acidity, leading to a persistent, creamy, and refreshing finish.
